Khulan Bayarsaikhan is a development practitioner and strategic communications expert with extensive experience across multilateral and bilateral international organizations. She holds a BSc in Marketing from Linnaeus University, Sweden, and an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London, UK.
She has also lived in Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium for a total of eight years. Khulan specializes in leveraging strategic communications, advocacy, and knowledge management to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas of climate action, inclusive growth, and gender equality.
Currently, Khulan serves as Communications Expert at UNDP, where she leads the design and execution of high-impact communications strategies that amplify development outcomes, foster stakeholder engagement, and ensure field-driven stories reach global audiences. Her work focuses on transforming complex development initiatives into compelling narratives that inspire action and policy change.
Previously, Khulan contributed her expertise to FAO as Communication and Reporting Specialist, to Peace Corps as Program Specialist, and to GIZ as Project Expert. She is a firm believer that meaningful change emerges from collaboration, cross-sector partnerships, and clear, purpose-driven communication that empowers communities and drives sustainable impact.
